I’ve been lucky enough to call Alpha Chi Omega my home during my years in college at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I never would’ve thought that my experience on campus could be so amazing by joining an organization such as this one. Through my participation in this chapter, I’ve made many friends, experienced new opportunities, grown my presence on campus, served the community, and found fitting leadership opportunities. I’ve met many amazing women, several of whom I call my closest friends. Being a Real Strong Woman is one of the phrases that we follow as inspiration. I genuinely believe that every woman upholds the qualities of a real strong woman by serving as a strong role model and an encouraging leader in our chapter.
Something that every member holds closely to our hearts is our philanthropy. Since 1965, Alpha Chi Omega in Mankato has supported victims of domestic violence. We’ve worked closely with CADA (Committee Against Domestic Abuse), a local, non-profit organization. Our mission is to bring awareness to unhealthy relationships; we believe love should never hurt. By working with CADA and advocating for this issue on campus, we’ve grown closer to one another and strengthened in our relationships. I’m honored to call Alpha Chi Omega my home, and I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything else. |
